Well, I find myself in Hawaii (Oahu) for my wife’s family reunion. Ah, paradise but with a few observations – Almost no EV cars here but they are super conscious about plastic (yea!!). In the news, Joe Manchin is say no to climate change legislation (I suspect he is planning to run for President and courting the conservative voters!). Colorado river basin is running out of water but meanwhile the taps keep flowing (Southern California is using more water despite the Governor of California asking for 15-30% less use)(btw, we take showers every other day, stopped watering the yard, save water while waiting to the hot to come and use it for watering flower pots, don’t flush every piddle). Bill Gates is depressed about humanity’s lack of progress in the face of catastrophe (Duh!) World wide wheat shortage threatens famine for impoverished countries.
Humanity is headed for some difficult times.
