Tipping Points and Cumulative Vulnerability

For those of you who have read my earlier blogs, you know I have mentioned tipping points (permafrost melting) and cumulative vulnerability (sometimes referred to as the sh*t hitting the fan).  Well, another new study has come out (https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/a-major-ocean-current-may-be-hurtling-towards-collapse/ar-BB1dWPCc?li=BBnb7Kz) that talks about the cold water circulation conveyer belt (AMOC) that regulates temperatures in the northern hemisphere (mostly Europe).  Bottom line: there is growing evidence that this could collapse much sooner than early models have predicted due to accelerating melting of Greenland’s glaciers.  Might make last week’s Texas debacle look like a small event.

Point is, as I have depressingly said in earlier posts, things are changing for the worse much faster than we would like to think.  No time to waste and a bit of preparation just might make a difference.
