Stress and Anxiety

With 4 days until the 2020 election and the Covid-19 pandemic raging around us, we have enough stress and anxiety in our lives to last us for years to come.  Kids to educate and feed plus worry about employment for many.  This is, after all, how humans are programmed and why we are successful as a species.  Even though it is no fun, we are good at dealing with what is right in front of us.  As for climate change, it can wait and that’s a problem because climate change is like a huge ship heading straight for a reef, it’s going to be really hard to stop but if we don’t do something soon the wreck is going to be much worse.

So if you can, do a bunch of little things like turning down the thermostat, yelling at the kids to turn off the lights, replacing those lights with LEDs, using less plastic, eating less red meat, consolidating your driving for errands and seeing if there are financial assistance programs to help you go solar.  All this can buy us some time to get through the current crunch of stress and anxiety before we face the next climate change influenced crisis.  SZ
